After a tragic accident at age 11, Michelle Kuei could have let her lifelong injuries define her. Instead, she decided to climb Machu Picchu and her goal was modest. She just wanted to walk fast enough so that her view wasn’t the back of the supply donkey! To do that, she got up before dawn so she could head out two hours earlier than the other hikers and make it to the next camp when they did.
